Powder Coater

We are seeking a Powder Coater to operate the powder coating booth and oven to finish aluminum parts, maintain consistent coverage and thickness for quality. This role requires hand spraying parts. This role requires stamina flexibility in working with a variety of parts, colors and multiple orders simultaneously with varying requirement.

Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained in proper working order.

Maintain the Powder Coating booth and workspace clean and orderly to avoid cross-contamination of colors.

You are expected to keep up with production demand and request assistance when needed.

The goal is to provide quality finishes with minimal waste of material and supplies.

You are required to learn, understand and follow all safety rules and instructions associated with the job such as lockout/tagout, emergency response, proper handling of chemicals, oven, spray equipment and PPE.

Prior experience spray painting or finishing (using hand sprayers)

Basic reading, writing, arithmetic skills.

Ability to read and understand paint specifications on work orders, read and follow manufacturer recommendations / instructions on chemicals and to achieve best quality outcome of finished pieces.

Work in hot environment (the facility is Air conditioned, but you are working in a booth with a large oven, opening and closing the oven releases heat in the workspace).

Stand for duration of shift, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, climbing. (
