As a PTA at Willow Valley, you will work alongside a licensed Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team to provide high-quality, resident-centered rehabilitation services focused on improving function, safety, and quality of life.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Employment Type: PRN

Skilled Nursing & Long-Term Care

Flexible PRN hours with day shift availability preferred

Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Assist residents with improving mobility, balance, strength, endurance, and overall functional independence.

Implement individualized treatment plans designed to support resident goals and maximize outcomes.

Accurately document therapy sessions, resident progress, and daily treatment notes in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.

Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, and recommendations to the supervising Physical Therapist.

Assist with discharge planning and educate residents and families on home exercise programs, safety techniques, and continued care strategies.

Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated, comprehensive resident care.

Participate in care conferences, therapy meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

Support department operations and provide coverage at nearby affiliated facilities as needed.

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice.

Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care is preferred but not required.

Ability to safely assist residents with transfers and mobility, including lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary.
