Charge Nurse (LPN or RN) - Overnight Shift (11PM-730AM)
Charge Nurse (LPN or RN) for the overnight shift (11PM-730AM) at Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center in Richmond, Virginia. This full-time salaried position is part of the Department of Veterans Services.
Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center provides quality care for Virginia's veterans. This single-level facility features 200 single-occupancy rooms across four nursing units. The nurse is responsible for delivering skilled nursing care for our veteran residents.
Job Duties
Administer medications and treatment accurately for assigned residents.
Consult with physicians; receives, records and implements orders and schedules appointments.
Document residents' health changes via acute care nurse's notes and shift change nursing reports.
Formulate plans of care for new residents and prepares all required reports and documentation.
Conduct daily rounds; observing and evaluating the physical and emotional status of assigned residents and taking necessary actions to ensure their health and well-being.
Maintain equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for nursing care; consulting with Nursing Supervisor/Unit Manager as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
~ Must be licensed as a Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in Virginia.

Additional Considerations
~ Nursing experience in a long-term care or adult geriatric setting.
