Cardiothoracic Radiologist - Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (Tucson, AZ)
Join the Veterans Health Administration in sunny Tucson as a full-time Cardiothoracic Radiologist and deliver high-impact imaging care to America's Veterans.
Mission-driven care : Serve Veterans with advanced cardiothoracic imaging in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
325,000-$390,000 base salary, plus annual performance bonuses and regular salary increase.
50-55 days of paid time off yearly (26 annual leave + 13 sick leave + 11 federal holidays + up to 5 CME days).
Federal retirement : Traditional federal pension (5-year vesting) plus 401(k) with up to 5% VA contribution.
Federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care options-many portable into retirement.
no employment contract; minimal moonlighting restrictions.
Sign-on bonus approved; Up to $1,000/year reimbursement for full-time, board-certified physicians.
Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm schedule with shared call and weekend coverage; telework eligible per agency policy.
As a Cardiothoracic Radiologist in the Radiology Service, you will:
Interpret chest radiographs, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopic exams with cardiothoracic expertise.
Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, peer review, and quality management activities.
Support resident and technologist education, pre-procedure lab review, and study protocoling.
Maintain complete, current clinical records in accordance with VA regulations.
S. citizenship (non-citizens considered only if qualified citizens cannot be recruited per VA policy).
Current, full, unrestricted medical license in any U.Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency (VA Secretary-approved).
Board Certified or eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.
Experience teaching residents/fellows.
