CRT or RRT (Respiratory Therapy #)

Job Duties

Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot pulmonary function and respiratory therapy devices following ATS standards.

Observe the patient closely during treatment monitoring pulse oximetry and breathe sounds, assessing for abnormal vital signs or other changes in the patients' condition.

Act as the consultant to the medical and nursing staff in order to meet prescribed therapeutic outcomes.

Monitor and evaluate patient respiratory treatments done by other clinicians to ensure respiratory interventions are rendered as prescribed.

Participate in emergency treatment, performing life-saving actions as suctioning and endotracheal intubation.

Ensure intubation and ventilation equipment is prepared and assist in life-saving procedures.

Ensure that the respiratory service section maintains biannually competency and duties performed in accordance with employee job description.
