Assistant Actuary
This position could have a hybrid or possibly remote work schedule.
WoodmenLife is looking to hire an Assistant Actuary to join our team! In this role, you will contribute to the growth and financial soundness of the organization by assisting actuarial functions that support various WoodmenLife insurance products. Provide analysis and create models with acceptable levels of accuracy and efficiency that is used in financial solutions.

The Assistant Actuary provides analysis and creates models that assist the following actuarial functions. Illustration Actuary Compliance and Illustration System Administration
Financial Projections, including Enterprise Value Projections
Valuation and Financial Reporting
Risk Management
May assist in the training of other associates.
May participate on a division or cross-functional project team or committee.
Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality in accordance with the expectations established by your supervisor and WoodmenLife policy.
ASA with BS degree or higher and four years actuarial experience.
Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets, databases and mathematics.
In-depth knowledge of financial and modeling software.
Requires technical writing skills and effective verbal communication.
Requires flexible hours of work to meet deadlines and match business requirements.
