Oncology Registered Nurse - Night Shift
This is a 13-week contract position, working Night shifts (3x12 hours) from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Oncology Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for patients diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. The role involves participation in clinical trials and care related to stem cell transplants, as well as managing patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments. The successful candidate will float to similar units as necessary to ensure unit staffing needs are met.
Responsibilities

Administer chemotherapy and manage side effects.
Provide patient education and support for families.
Monitor vital signs and recognize abnormal lab values.
Administer medications and manage PCA pumps.
Care for patients with ports, PICC lines, and handling of blood products.
Participate in interdisciplinary care team meetings to deliver coordinated patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years recent oncology nursing experience required.
Chemotherapy certification is mandatory; candidates in process can be considered after screening.
Required certifications: BLS and ONS/ONCC; OCN preferred.
Active compact RN license required.
