CRT or RRT (Respiratory Therapy #)
Mary Greeley Medical Center
Join our Respiratory Care team and help deliver exceptional, patient-centered care for neonatal through geriatric patients. In this role, you'll provide respiratory treatments, perform diagnostic testing, manage critical care equipment, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians and care teams to support positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory needs.
Administer respiratory therapies, oxygen therapy, and airway management.
Operate and troubleshoot ventilators, CPAP systems, and other critical care equipment.
Perform diagnostic testing, including arterial blood gases and pulmonary function testing.
Develop and implement respiratory care plans.
Respond to Code Blue, Rapid Response, Trauma Alert, and Cardiac Alert events.
Provide patient education and assist with discharge planning.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program with an AAS degree.
Iowa Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
NBRC credentialing required.
ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
Preferred:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
