The Diagnostic & Interventional Radiologist Interprets a wide range of imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and angiograms, to identify abnormalities and diagnose diseases.
Communicate diagnostic findings clearly to referring physicians and patients through detailed reports.
The Diagnostic & Interventional Radiologist performs minimally invasive, image-guided interventional procedures such as angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, biopsies, drainage of abscesses, and foreign body removal, typically using fluoroscopy guidance.
Manage patient care during these procedures, including the monitoring of vital signs and ensuring overall patient safety.
Work closely with other specialists to devise comprehensive treatment plans and provide consultation regarding interventional radiology procedures.
The Diagnostic & Interventional Radiologist provides discharge education to patients and ensure follow-up instructions are aligned with the next care setting, especially for emergency department patients.

Diagnostic & Interventional Radiologist - REQUIREMENTS
Must have a Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Must be Board Certified in Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
Must have a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in diagnostic and interventional radiology.
