The facility has received few submissions so far. American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a Level III high-risk perinatal unit, requiring 2 years of L&D experience and WA or compact RN licensure.

Level III high-risk perinatal unit with 19 labor and delivery beds, 10 antepartum beds, 30 postpartum beds, 3 ORs, 2 PACU bays, and a 7-bay triage area

Target staffing ratios of 1:1 in labor, 1:3 couplet care in postpartum with CNA support, and 1:2-3 in antepartum

Unit supported by surgical techs, CNAs, delivering providers, CRNAs, and health unit coordinators around the clock

Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30

Floating required to Postpartum unit

Uses Epic EMR

Active WA or compact RN license required at time of consideration

Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required, following AWHONN standards

BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring

Epic EMR experience required

Experience in facilities with 200+ deliveries preferred; candidates from facilities with 100-200 deliveries will also be considered

Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, administration of blood and blood products, labor and delivery management, assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, circulating for C-sections, and recovering C-section patients

Experience with medication administration including antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate therapy, pitocin, and terbutaline

Neonatal care skills including APGAR scoring, neonatal resuscitation, and newborn assessment required

Experience with external fetal monitoring (EFM) and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns required

Provide comprehensive care across labor, antepartum, and postpartum units, including high-risk perinatal cases

Located at the Pavilion for Women and Children, offering comprehensive maternity services and a Level II NICU

Facility is part of a Level II Trauma Center campus

Travelers must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application, as post-submission requests may not be accommodated

Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the same health system

Local candidates are not accepted; Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Only one submission to a Providence facility is allowed at a time
