You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining on‑premises data center infrastructure such as physical and virtual compute, load balancers, operating systems, and related hardware.This position participates in an engineering escalation on‑call rotation.This position is a hybrid role, with occasional on‑site work in the Philadelphia area (must be currently local to Philadelphia, relocation assistance not available)Primary Responsibilities:Design, deploy, and manage enterprise hypervisor environments, including Broadcom vSphere ESXi, across multiple data centersBuild, configure, and support Windows Servers across physical, virtual, and cloud platformsMaintain hardware and bare metal lifecycles by continuously reviewing and applying firmware and hypervisor updatesRespond on‑site to data center incidents, including routine visits for preventive or standard maintenanceDevelop and maintain diagrams, runbooks, infrastructure documentation, and disaster recovery playbooksCollaborate with network, security, and application DevOps teams to design, deploy, and maintain cohesive, integrated solutionsDrive continuous improvement in monitoring, alerting, and capacity planningQualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, MIS, or a related field; or relative hands-on experience demonstrating advanced proficiency in the field5+ years of proven expertise with Broadcom (VMware) vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter at scale5+ years of hands-on experience with bare metal servers including the remote management, firmware and hardware updates, and advanced configuration management using tools such as intelligent Lights Out (iLO) and OneViewAdvanced troubleshooting of hypervisor and virtual machine performance including the ability to review kernel, device, and operating system metrics and an ability to make informed decisions based on key performance indicatorsExpert‑level administration of Windows servers, Active Directory, DNS, and related services such as NTP, GPO, and PKIAdvanced understanding of physical networking infrastructure, and firewalls including TCP/IP, UDP, VLAN, firewall rules; an ability to communicate systems connectivity requirementsProficient with physical and virtual load balancers, F5 experience a plusProficient with cloud computing environments such as Azure or AWSExcellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skillsProficient with scripting languages and automation tools including the use of AIExperience with monitoring and logging toolsExperience with change control processesExperience with containerization and Linux operating systems a plusAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCertifications with Microsoft and Broadcom/VMware are a plusAs the fastest growing commerce company in the industry, we offer the opportunity for tremendous upward mobility within the company as well as development and professional growth opportunities.
