Hospital Setting: Obstetric hospitalist program with GYN coverage and ED support
Hospitalist Responsibilities:
Provide OB and GYN coverage
Back up private physicians
Floor consults and follow-through on surgical cases
Patient Volumes:
Monthly deliveries: 90
Annual deliveries: 9 (this may be a typo; likely 900 annually)
Estimated monthly patient encounters: 81
NICU Level: II
Maternal-Fetal Medicine: None
Backup: Trauma and general surgeon always available
Residency Program: No
EMR: Epic
Role Focus
Primarily inpatient hospitalist coverage for OB and GYN patients
Involves floor consults, surgical follow-up, and backup for private OB/GYNs
No MFM coverage on-site; high-risk patients referred out
