Must-Have:

• Must have experience with a 1:5 patient ratio in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit
• Must have ventilator experience
• Must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting
• Epic charting experience is required
• Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday

Description:
This is a winter contract option for 13 or 18 weeks.
Nurses will be required to work a minimum of every other holiday.
The nurse to patient ratio is targeted at 1:4-6.
The unit participates in a team nursing model where RNs, LPNs, and PCTs collaborate to care for a group of patients.
The goal of this model is to improve both workload and patient care.
Nurses may function in either team nursing or primary nursing depending on unit needs.
Travelers will be the first to float at the discretion of management.
Candidates must be comfortable floating based on job description with no restrictions or special requests.
The unit consists of 36 beds for neuroscience patients, including high-risk respiratory patients.
Nurses will care for patients with a variety of neurological conditions.
Candidates should have experience in managing high-risk respiratory patients.
Special procedures may include tracheostomy care and management.
Applicants must be eligible to manage complex cases and provide high-quality patient care.
