Registered Nurse - Telemetry / ICU / PCU

Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours, and there is no call requirement.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit. This 15-bed unit provides care for patients requiring close monitoring and progressive care. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing care through telemetry monitoring and various patient procedures.

Deliver primary nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.

Conduct telemetry monitoring and accurately interpret telemetry strips.

Perform fingerstick blood sugar testing as required.

Utilize Meditech for charting and Pyxis for medication management.

Implement BIPAP and continuous cardiac monitoring as necessary.

Float to other acute care units such as Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER as needed.

Minimum of 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year is required.

Experience in Progressive Care and telemetry is preferred.

Active State of Hawaii RN license is mandatory by the start of the assignment.

ACLS and current PALS certifications are preferred.

NIHSS certification is preferred.
