StewardSouthall is a premier destination bringing nature, produce, and people together in a powerful and unique way.The Steward will manage the daily cleanliness of kitchen operation. Areas of responsibilities include dish room operations, night cleaning, back dock cleaning and maintenance, banquet plating and food running. Performs duties to maintain kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment are in a clean and orderly condition.ResponsibilitiesSweep and mops floors throughout the course of the dayWash worktables, walls, refrigerators, hoods and cutting boardsRemove garbage and places it in designated containers. Hoses out garbage cansWash pots, pans and trays by handScrape food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks for the dishwashing machineAssist with prep work such as washing and peeling vegetablesGeneral up-keep of the kitchen, back dock and hallwayDry or polish dishes before putting away in proper locationOrganize all equipment and puts it back in the proper locationFollow all sanitation, equipment handling, chemical usage, and safety proceduresActively show respect for the product coming through our doors as well as your fellow co-workers. A positive attitude must be exhibited even during the most trying timesPerform additional duties and projects as assigned by Southall LeadershipRequirementsMinimum of 1 year in the industryAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsIndividuals are organized and uphold the standards of Southall FarmsConversational Spanish is preferred but not requiredHigh School DiplomaMust be able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs.Available to work weekends, evenings and/or holidaysAbility to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environmentMust be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods as needed?The ability to do precision work using hand tools or work aids to work, move, guide, or place objects or materials. Requires considerable dexterity of hands and fingers to do detailed work in a consistent manner.
