Who We Are: The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a 3rd Grade Teacher at Snyder Park Elementary School for the 2026-27 school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre‑K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state‑of‑the‑art buildings in west‑central Ohio. As a Teacher you are required to:

Current licensure issued by the Ohio Department of Education

Be flexible in your work schedule and be willing to attend/participate in professional development sessions

Be willing to serve on teams

As a Teacher you will:

Developing lesson plans and instructional materials and providing individualized and small group instruction to meet the needs of each student.

Engages in active, hands‑on creative and innovative approaches to help students learn how to improve their skills

Embraces, supports, and follows all District enacted programming in the areas of academic, behavioral and emotional support

Implements an effective program of instruction reflective of the Ohio Department of Education

Engages in collaborative planning with colleagues, supporting building and District‑level programs

As a contracted employee, Teachers on Special Assignments work 183 days per year and 7.25 hours per day.

Starting salary is in accordance with the negotiated agreement, increases with experience and education.

The Springfield Education Association and the Board of Education are currently working on a new professional agreement. While that is in the works, please refer to the current agreement as to pay and benefits that are in place for the 2025-26 school year.
