Mental Health Therapist (LCSW) (Full-Time)

We are pleased to offer a $2,500 sign on bonus as well as an addition $2,500 retention bonus (at 1 year) with this position.

This position requires a fully licensed clinician (LCSW, LMFT) in the state of California

The Therapist works in a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing treatment services according to the Professional Psychiatric Services under DBH. Therapist responsibilities include providing therapy services, leading therapy groups, facilitating clinical assessments, conducting individual sessions, and other tasks as detailed below. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping those in need and will find joy in being at the heart of a positive, professional culture. Ensures clinical documentation is completed with PPS division policy guidelines

Completes appropriate number of therapy sessions weekly for patients, including family/support system sessions aligned with the patients' level of care.

Provides utilization reviews to insurance companies, providing appropriate clinical information to obtain initial authorization and continuing stay authorization, as necessary.

Communicate with the billing department to provide information about services rendered as therapy.

Participates in research planning, analysis, development, and presentation.

Provides training and support to clinical care coordinator as needed.

Actively participates in prior authorizations and utilization review for TMS, Spravato, and medications

Supports the development of new therapeutic initiatives and programs as needed.

Refer patients across Discovery Behavioral Health brands and service lines as clinically indicated

Consult on potential referrals filtering into practice from other Discovery Behavioral Health brands as clinically indicated

Providing integrative therapy for patients undergoing services withing practice

Knowledge, Education, & Experience:

Master's or Doctorate degree in relevant field, required

Employment Status: Full Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9 AM - 5 PM PST

Work Location: Hybrid between virtual and in office, Torrance, CA

Compensation: Pay Range: $74k to $90k annually including bonus opportunities
