Inventory Specialist

Thales is looking for an Inventory Specialist who is responsible for managing and handling parts, components, materials, inventory control, and housekeeping of the work area, document creation/review, and extensive data entry in compliance with rules for computerized management of stocks and inventory. The role organizes or manages inventories and analyzes the deviation causes, proposes improvement action plans, and ensures shipping, incoming reception, storage and on‑site handling of stocks and inventories.

Manage material throughout the warehouse, including tracking, stocking, record keeping, labeling, and movement throughout the plant.

Perform material kitting and packaging of orders to prepare for production and customer deliveries.

Process material issuing, adjustments, batch and serial number tracking, and cancellations in the ERP system; receive, verify, and stock incoming inventory and supplies.

Inspect material for damage, proper identification, and quantities; maintain inventory record of material; coordinate daily and weekly cycle counting and annual full inventory count.

Coordinate with other departments to deliver parts when and where needed; help develop and implement efficient procedures and metrics using data to analyze trends and Lean manufacturing practices.

Operate hand trucks, ladders, power hand tools, forklifts, packaging machines, and cutting tools; assist the Shipping department with packaging, palletizing, and crating product for customers and vendors; receive deliveries, unload trucks, and manage docks.

3 years of equivalent work experience and a forklift certification.

Proven knowledge of inventory management, computer inventory management systems, and data trend analysis; proven experience with warehouse equipment and forklift operation.

Ability to be flexible, agile, solve problems, and work well with others with minimal supervision.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

First Shift, flexible early start times possible.

Physical Environment: Work includes operations in the facility stockroom and warehouse areas; Travel: Possible domestic travel, less than 3% per year; willingness to travel locally to offsite warehouse.
