Responsibilities

Draw quality blood samples from patients across various settings, including patient service centers, mobile units, long-term care facilities, and physician offices.
Prepare specimens accurately for laboratory testing, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures to foster trust and confidence.
Provide coverage at multiple locations as needed, supporting team operations and workflow efficiency.
Demonstrate leadership qualities by guiding, mentoring, and onboarding new staff and interns.
Act as a point of contact for staff at various sites, offering support and coordinating activities to meet daily operational goals.
Handle high-volume and complex test requests, collaborating with sales, laboratory testing, IT, billing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
Required Skills

Proven ability to perform blood draws with a high level of skill and safety.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly and professionally.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and locations.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
Basic data entry and keyboarding skills to support documentation and specimen tracking.
Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred; phlebotomy certification preferred.
Minimum of five years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
At least three years of experience in a patient service center or similar environment is preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service setting is a plus.
Keyboard and data entry experience required.
Availability to work Monday through Friday with rotational Saturdays.
In states requiring certification, active phlebotomy certification is preferred or required.
