The occupational therapist will provide services for the pediatric population age 0-21 with developmental, neurological, and medical based disorders in an outpatient clinic setting. This position performs highly responsible work that will promote quality patient care and efficiency. The occupational therapist will also collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including physicians, psychologists, therapists, BCBAs, school staff, and parents to provide holistic services. The occupational therapist is responsible for planning and administering evaluations, treatment plans, consults, screenings, parent education and for promoting the overall health of the patient. Provides skilled occupational therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.

Adheres to state requirements for supervision of COTAs to provide services with the highest care standards

instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; If not consistently met, 30 days (thirty) to achieve this standard before a transition to part time status occurs.

Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.

Complies with the applicable State Occupational Therapy Practice Act, rules and regulations

Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.

Maintains clean work area, clean treatment rooms and requests needed supplies.

Maintains professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.

Complies with all company policies and procedures.

Keeps regular clinic hours as approved by Manager.

Demonstrate knowledge of principles, techniques, materials and equipment in pediatric occupational therapy.

Ability to evaluate a patient's occupational therapy needs and communicate the patient's needs to the legal guardian and/or appropriate parties involved in the patient's care.

Knowledge of CPT & ICD 10 coding procedures.

Thorough knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.

Demonstrate working knowledge of computer programs (EMRs)

Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program

Current State Occupational Therapist license
