Physiatrist Needed Part-time (Physician )

Job Summary Provides high-quality, evidence-based physical therapy services with minimal supervision to patients, caregivers, and facilities in alignment with physical therapy principles, best practices, and company policies. Develops and implements individualized treatment plans, supervises physical therapist assistants and aides, contributes to interdisciplinary case management, delivers exceptional patient care, and fosters positive relationships with facilities, clients, and staff to enhance collaboration and service expansion.
Essential Functions

Comply with the applicable state Practice Act, including laws governing physical therapist practice, supervision of assistants/aides, and scope of services.
Review the company's Clinical Operations Policies & Procedures Manual annually and adhere to all policies.
Complete required Medicare compliance training and other regulatory or company-mandated education.
Complete annual OSHA training and adhere to OSHA standards and relevant governmental regulations.
Evaluate patients to determine medical necessity for physical therapy; assess impairments, functional limitations, and goals.
Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans to restore function, alleviate pain, improve mobility, and prevent disability.
Provide skilled, direct physical therapy interventions and document ongoing progress, functional goals, and medical necessity clearly and comprehensively.
Complete all required documentation (e.g., evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, pre-certifications, charge tickets, physician communications) accurately, legibly, and timely to meet facility, physician, and payer requirements.
Maintain professional, open, and respectful communication with colleagues, physicians, patients, families, and third-party payers at all times.
Attend and participate in facility meetings (e.g., utilization review, infection control, disaster preparedness) as directed by the Center Manager.
Complete sufficient continuing education to meet state licensure renewal requirements for the reporting period.
Maintain current CPR certification compliant with state licensure standards.
Additional Responsibilities
Manage time efficiently to meet or exceed facility productivity standards.
Participate in and deliver clinical in-services as assigned.
Stay informed on healthcare trends, regulatory changes, and advancements impacting physical therapy practice.
Take a leadership role in designated areas of center operations as mutually agreed with the Center Manager.
Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Physical Requirements
Frequently lift and transfer patients using proper biomechanical techniques throughout the workday/shift; capable of independently lifting up to 50 pounds.
Constantly walk, bend, stand, reach, squat, and perform other physical movements during the shift.
Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to assess patients, evaluate conditions, maintain records, recognize individuals, and follow written directions.
Adequate hearing and speaking ability to understand instructions, provide clear directions, and communicate effectively.
Ability to push wheeled equipment throughout the facility and community.
Fine motor skills sufficient for accurate documentation (manual or electronic), handling diagnostic/therapeutic equipment, and performing precise interventions.

Required Credentials:

• Graduation from a physical therapist education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) or, in the case of an internationally educated physical therapist, from a non-CAPTE accredited program seeking licensure as a physical therapist, a substantially equivalent education.
