Order Picker Job Description

We are seeking an Order Picker to join our dynamic team at our facility located at 2001 Harbor Bay Parkway, Alameda, CA. Candidates will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with shifts available from 6am-2:30 pm or 2pm-10:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Flexibility to work weekends and overtime is required due to current high volume demands.

Perform warehouse duties such as picking orders, receiving/stowing products, unloading and loading trailers.

Fulfill orders for various department channels accurately to ensure quality and avoid damage.

Ensure shipments are loaded and received on the correct trucks within assigned deadlines.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Engage in continuous standing/walking in a warehouse environment throughout an 8-hour day or more.

Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Experience with order picking/pulling and scanner operations preferred.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately in English.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a nice to have.

Uphold safety, food safety, and production quality standards.

Perform accurate data entry.

Flexibility in scheduling including overtime and weekends to accommodate delayed orders.

Being self-directed and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision is crucial.

This is a manufacturing facility where you will be expected to remain active throughout your shift. The environment is fast-paced, and candidates must be willing to work overtime when needed to meet high volume demands.

This is a Contract position based out of Alameda, CA.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
