Foodservice Cook

Our senior living community is currently seeking a Cook to join our team of dedicated professionals who want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, their families and our community. Intelligent Risk Taking

Customer Second (Employee First!)

Ensures efficient, timely, and friendly service to all residents and staff. Maintains proper sanitation and safety procedures and high quality food preparation and presentation. Orders, receives, and rotates stock in conjunction with the Food Service Director. Prepares and serves food items for breakfast, lunch or dinner as assigned. Assists with meeting or exceeding resident dining expectations. Is knowledgeable in food preparation techniques and presentation. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and comprehend the same.

Willingness to learn new food preparation techniques and presentation.

Knowledge of special dietary needs of residents and the required meal prep techniques.

Ability to effectively deal with conflict or customer complaints.

Follows all food safety and equipment safety procedures.

Knowledge of and compliance with community quality standards and requirements.

Must be dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work without constant supervision.
