Provides breast‑feeding education and consultation to prospective and actual patients of the Baptist Health System in the inpatient and outpatient environment. Provides staff development guidance to assist staff providing assistance to breast‑feeding mothers in hospital environment. Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.

Bachelors Degree.

Minimum Experience: 2 years clinical nursing practice. Preferred Experience: 2 years adults teaching. Experience in providing lactation consulting.

Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.

Preferred Certifications/Licensure: Certificate in lactation consulting through a national certifying organization required within one year of employment.

CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
