Summary Buyer performs various purchasing functions within the Topp’s Sports and Entertainment Procurement business unit.This position is expected to own all areas related to the assigned product including but not limited to attending “walk throughs”, reviewing forecasts, reconciling raw material inventory, issuing purchase orders, processing invoices for payment, arranging and expediting shipments, collaborating with departments to find efficiencies, and acting as liaison between vendor and internal customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare purchase orders for services and materials
Source new vendors based on internal customer specifications
Maintain costing file for assigned projects
Track vendor performance and report metrics for improvement
Maintain purchasing records and supplier contact database
Coordinate CPSIA testing on required items
Desired Skills and Experience Advanced level Excel skills are a MUST, Airtable experience a plus
3 to 5 years related work experience
Experience with Oracle a plus
Ability to track and follow up on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work independently while supporting a team located in various sites
