Role & Responsibilities The Dishwasher’s primary objective is to maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment while supporting the culinary team with basic food preparation. This role plays a key part in overall kitchen efficiency and provides a pathway for growth into prep and event cook positions.

Take full responsibility for the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment

Load, operate, and unload the dish machine efficiently

Monitor water temperature and chemical levels to ensure proper sanitation standards

Keep dish machine clean and report any mechanical or operational issues promptly

Maintain adequate levels of dishwashing chemicals and cleaning supplies

Keep dish room, food prep, and production areas clean and organized

Remove trash and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and surrounding areas

Clean restrooms and facility areas daily and as needed

Assist chefs with basic food prep (washing, peeling, chopping vegetables; Prepare simple recipes and ingredients under chef supervision

Support setup and breakdown of kitchen stations for events and service

Label, date, and properly store food items following food safety standards

Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, walk‑ins, and dry storage

Learn proper knife skills and kitchen techniques with guidance from culinary leadership

At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant dish room or kitchen preferred

Interest in learning culinary skills and growing within a kitchen environment

Customer service experience is a plus

Knowledge of kitchen health and safety standards
