Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation & Local Government
Employment Type: Full-Time
Our client is a well-established boutique law firm seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with at least 1 year of legal experience to join its growing practice.
The ideal candidate will have experience in general civil litigation and/or local government representation and will have the opportunity to develop meaningful courtroom, research, drafting, and client-management experience. Assist with all aspects of civil litigation and trial preparation.
Conduct legal research and analyze applicable statutes, regulations, case law, and procedural requirements.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents.
Analyze, review, and summarize legal documents and case materials.
Represent county and municipal governments at local meetings and proceedings.
Provide legal guidance and counsel to local government entities and their departments.
Assist with case strategy, discovery, hearings, and other litigation matters.
Manage multiple client matters while meeting established deadlines and maintaining high-quality work product.
Work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
Support additional legal and administrative matters as needed.
D. from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Georgia.
At least 1 year of legal experience ; law firm experience is preferred but not required.
Experience in civil litigation and/or representation of local governments is strongly preferred.
Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to draft clear, well-organized legal documents.
Self-motivated and eager to develop a long-term legal career in a small-firm environment.
