Educational Audiologist

Part Time | Carlsbad, NM | New Mexico Audiologist License (Instructional Support Provider) Required

As a School Audiologist, you'll evaluate and diagnose student hearing concerns, recommend and fit classroom amplification, and serve as a key member of the IEP team ensuring students with hearing loss have full access to their education. Evaluate, follow up on, and document student progress

Educate students on hearing loss prevention

Valid Audiologist license issued by the New Mexico Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing Practices Board

New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) Instructional Support Provider license Audiologist (PreK-12) endorsement

Doctoral degree in Audiology (AuD, PhD, or combined AuD/PhD) or equivalent, from an accredited program

Minimum one year of experience as a practicing audiologist in an educational setting

Valid driver's license (travel between school sites required)

Background check/fingerprint clearance and TB clearance

Strong skill in interpreting and reporting audiometric and related behavioral test data
