About the Role
Ember Management Group is hiring Dishwashers / Stewards to join the opening culinary team for Buccan, Imoto, and The Sandwich Shop in Coral Gables. This is a hands-on, essential support role for individuals who take pride in cleanliness, organization, and teamwork in a fast-paced, quality-driven kitchen environment.
Dishwashers and Stewards are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment, dishware, and work areas, while supporting the culinary team with proper organization, trash removal, and back-of-house cleanliness throughout service.
Responsibilities

Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish stations, pot areas, and BOH spaces
Operate and clean dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
Assist with trash, recycling, and compost removal.
Support kitchen team with basic cleaning and organization tasks as needed.
Maintain clean floors, drains, mats, and work surfaces.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
Practice proper chemical handling and storage procedures.
Support opening and closing duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
Prior dishwashing or steward experience preferred, but not required
Strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented, dependable, and reliable
Ability to meet food safety and sanitation standards
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
Ability to stand and work 8-10-hour shifts.
Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
Comfortable working in a wet, fast-paced kitchen environment.
