Position Overview
We are seeking a Telemetry Certified Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in the Medical Telemetry Oncology Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administering chemotherapies and managing complex patient care scenarios.
Shift Details
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
Start Date: 9/21 or 10/5
Weekend Coverage: Required
Maximum RTO: 5 days
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in telemetry.
Experience in Trauma Level I and II settings is required.
Prior travel experience is required.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and Chemo certification from ONS/ONCC preferred.
Additional skills in patient management related to cardiac interventional procedures and chemotherapy infusions are preferred.
Unit Details
Staffing Ratio: Up to 5 patients per nurse.
Daily Census: Approximately 31 patients.
Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics.
Special Procedures: Involvement in procedures such as TAVR, Mitral Clips, Watchman, and complex PCI Angiogram.
Equipment: Golvo lifts, code carts, and Voalte phones for communication.
Preferred Skills
Access and management of ports.
Administration of chemotherapy and managing side effects.
Experience with IV hydration and central line care.
Effective communication with interdisciplinary teams.
