Phlebotomist – Overview
Assist in drawing blood specimens for laboratory testing. Most patients are inpatients, but staff is cross‑trained to support other phlebotomy functions as needed.
Responsibilities
Collect blood specimens from patients in a safe, professional, and hygienic manner.
Assist in other phlebotomy duties, including sample labeling, preparation, and processing.
Ensure compliance with all safety and infection‑control protocols.
Maintain accurate and organized patient records and specimen information.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Phlebotomy certification preferred but not mandatory.
Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
Schedule & Compensation
Full‑time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
Contract position of 3 months with potential for permanent hire.
Annual salary: $49,000.00.
