Temporary Security Officers

You will provide direct security and related public services.

Base rate: $19/hr bi-weekly

• Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by providing protective services, customer assistance, and incident response in support of site operations and client needs.

You will conduct the following responsibilities upholding Tarian's commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community.
Patrol and roam the Guest Areas of the venue, monitoring areas for safety and compliance with the house rules, interacting with Guests, and addressing safety and security concerns
Partner with fellow crew members at the end of the show to close the venue- this may include collecting recyclables from the reserved section, and picking up and properly storing event equipment such as chairs, barricades, etc.
May write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Apprehend and evict Guests in violation of house rules or causing a safety hazard to themselves and others.
Provide accommodation for guests with special needs both prior to and on the day of the show - this includes aiding people that use wheelchairs.
Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
Completed High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift
Desired Qualification of the Security Officer:
~ Previous work experience with the public in a service setting

Work hours will vary depending on assignments, client schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the company. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk for variable amounts of time throughout an assigned shift; Frequently engages in mental concentration, analysis, and formulation.
