Ultrasonographer(Cardiac Sonographer/Pediatrics)

Job Summary: The Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing diagnostic echocardiographic examinations on pediatric patients. This role requires specialized expertise in pediatric echocardiography to accurately capture cardiac images and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions. The sonographer will work independently after initial hospital and department training, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care in a pediatric setting.

Responsibilities:

Perform pediatric echocardiographic studies with precision and care.

Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment according to protocols.

Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to provide diagnostic information.

Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.

Complete documentation and maintain accurate records of imaging procedures.

Participate in training and orientation during initial hospital and department onboarding.

Required Skills & Certifications:

Minimum of 5 years pediatric echocardiography experience.

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) certification OR Cardiac Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Cardiac Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) certification.

Active Pediatric Echo Registry certification.

Strong knowledge of pediatric cardiac anatomy and pathology.

Ability to work independently after training.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Experience working in a hospital pediatric cardiology department.

Familiarity with children-friendly scrubs and pediatric patient interaction.

Special Considerations:

Must wear children-friendly scrubs.

Work environment focused on pediatric patients requiring specialized care.

No overtime, weekend, or holiday shifts required.

Scheduling:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shift.

No weekend, holiday, or overtime shifts.
