Maternity Nurse Educator 13-Week Contract
We are seeking an experienced Maternity Nurse Educator with strong NICU / Continuing Care Nursery (CCN) experience for a 13-week contract. This role is ideal for a nurse leader who enjoys education, mentorship, and advancing evidence-based nursing practice.
Position Overview: The qualified candidate will function in intertwined roles including change agent, mentor, facilitator of learning, leader, advocate for the clinical nurse educator specialty, champion of scientific inquiry, and partner for role transitions. This role draws upon adult learning theory, clinical experience, evidence-based practice, and professional development standards to transform nursing practice.
Plan and prepare educational content aligned with evidence-based practice and accrediting requirements
Evaluate learning activities using reliable tools and revise programming as needed
Champion scientific inquiry and integrate evidence into clinical nursing practice
Provide leadership in nursing competency development and academic partnerships
Mentor staff and advance the nursing profession through professional development and committee involvement
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Massachusetts RN License
Certified ANCC in Nursing Professional Development strongly preferred
NRP Fetal Monitoring Instructor preferred
Continuing Care Nursery (CCN) nursing experience required
Advanced maternal-child nursing practice
Fetal monitoring
Operating room experience as circulator and scrub nurse
