The Steward maintains the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, dish, and storage areas, ensuring the back of house runs smoothly and to health-code standards. This role is the backbone of a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen and directly supports the entire culinary team. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, organized, and takes pride in a spotless operation.

13.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience.

Kitchen Sanitation & Cleaning

Maintain immaculate cleanliness of the kitchen, dish area, floors, and surfaces

Perform deep-cleaning of equipment, hoods, walls, and storage areas on schedule

Ensure all areas meet health-code and SUZU sanitation standards

Dish & Equipment Management

Operate and maintain dish machines and cleaning equipment correctly

Ensure a continuous supply of clean ware to the kitchen and FOH

Stocking & Organization

Manage trash, recycling, and waste removal promptly and properly

Follow all sanitation, hygiene, and safety protocols rigorously

Handle chemicals, equipment, and hot items safely and correctly

0–2 years of kitchen, steward, or dish experience (restaurant preferred but not required)

• ServSafe / food-handler certification a plus (or ability to obtain)
• Competitive hourly pay

Training in kitchen sanitation, safety, and back-of-house operations

Opportunities to grow into Lead Steward and Prep Cook roles
