Job Overview A law firm seeks a licensed Associate Attorney for a full-time position in Rosemont, IL. The role involves defending civil rights and general liability claims against municipal entities and contractors. Candidates with 0-4 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
Duties Attend court proceedings and take depositions.
Respond to discovery requests and organize files.
Conduct legal research and review records.
Prepare abstracts and draft correspondence.
Draft discovery documents and prepare for trials.
Draft briefs for state and federal courts.
Assist partners and attorneys in all litigation phases.
Requirements Excellent research and writing skills.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Willingness to take initiative.
Ability to travel to collar counties and Indiana.
Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications Licensed to practice law.
Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
