Evening Maintenance Person

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Date: June 2026 Position Title: Maintenance Associate Department: Environmental Services - Notre Dame Village Reports to: Director of Environmental Services Position Information: Full Time, 8a-4:30pm, Monday-Friday Position Description This position assists with all aspects of building, grounds, and vehicle maintenance including unit inspections, preventative, scheduled, and emergency maintenance.

Essential Functions

• Follow oral directions
• Follow written directions
• Understand major building systems
• Make repairs to facility equipment and fixtures, including vehicle maintenance
• Follow the preventative maintenance program
• Train with the Maintenance Technician/Director of Environmental Serviceson HVAC equipment, electrical and plumbing andattainthe skills to independently perform these duties
• Assistwithmaintainingthe overall condition of the building and grounds
• Perform waste disposal proceduresin accordance withfacility policy
• Attend in-service training programs
• Be available and respond to facility emergencies includingon-callprocedures
• Observe infection control procedures related to the Maintenance Department
• Come to work as scheduled and consistentlydemonstratedependability and punctuality per the established schedule
• Comply withsafety, fireprotectionand prevention programs by inspecting work areas and equipment in maintenance,laundryand housekeeping
• Personally perform all maintenance tasks and functions, routine, emergency, preventative, and otherwise including unit inspections
• Monitor all building systems to ensure continuous operations and efficient usage
• Serveonan on-call basis and respond to campus, equipment, and building emergencies ona timelybasis. Carry cell phone and be available for emergency calls 24/7
• Come to work as scheduled and consistentlydemonstratedependability and punctuality
• Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner

• Relate to residents, families, and staff in a friendly,courteousand helpful manner

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with major building systems maintenance
• Knowledge of safety regulationspertaining tobuilding and life safety codes
• HVAC certificationpreferred
• Demonstrated or capable of learning electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills
• Understands and communicates job related information and directions in English
