America’s Newsroom is looking for a sharp, creative, and highly motivated Line Producer to oversee the live production of the program’s 10 AM hour. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, breaking news environment, exercises strong editorial judgment, and understands how to create compelling television. The Line Producer is more than an executor—they are a key contributor to the editorial process who consistently generates ideas, identifies opportunities, and helps shape the day’s coverage. Manage live control room production and make real-time editorial decisions during breaking news
Identify strong video, soundbites, graphics, and visual storytelling opportunities
Produce guest segments, reporter hits, anchor discussions, and breaking news coverage
Copy edit scripts, banners, and graphics to ensure accuracy, clarity, and strong storytelling
Monitor multiple news sources and flag important developments throughout the day
Assist with social media and cross-platform content initiatives as needed
Help mentor junior producers and contribute to a collaborative team environment

Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience
Proven ability to make sound editorial decisions independently in a fast-paced news environment
Strong news judgment and passion for breaking news, politics, and current events
Excellent writing, copy editing, and communication skills
