Senior Artist - Remote

Owning game spaces from blockout through final polish, the remote freelance Senior Level Artist will create, refine, and integrate visually compelling and playable environments using Unreal Engine, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance gameplay experience over a contract period of approximately 3-6 months.

Key responsibilities:

Own and develop game spaces, balancing gameplay layout with visual composition, staging, lighting, and world-building

Build and optimize environments in Unreal Engine, managing performance aspects such as streaming and draw calls

Implement level features and collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure alignment with gameplay and visual goals

Required qualifications:

5+ years of experience in level design, level art, or world building

Strong portfolio showcasing playable environments built in-engine, emphasizing composition and player perspective

Deep expertise in Unreal Engine, including gameplay layout and visual execution

Proven experience managing and optimizing performance metrics like frame budgets and memory budgets

Working knowledge of Unreal Blueprints for implementing level features and interactives
