What do Moffitt's interventional radiology specialists do? Moffitt's interventional radiology specialists focus on minimally invasive techniques to remove blood clots, feeding tubes, drainage tubes, stents, implanted fusion ports and tunneled venous lines. Kyphoplasty medical cement is injected into a vertebra in the spine that has been fractured due to tumor growth

We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team. Delivering individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies and in accordance with ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies.

Using the nursing process to effectively plan and manage quality patient care.

Biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational and discharge planning needs are addressed in all steps of the nursing process.

Work in a fast paced environment, providing specialized nursing skills for a variety of interventions.

• 2 years of Interventional Radiology, Intensive Care, or Emergency nursing, critical thinking skills, and clinical skills of proficiency in IV starts and port access and moderate sedation.
• Possess excellent assessment skills of troubleshooting potential problems associated with complex medical conditions as related to the planned procedure.
• Ability to independently care for patients while recognizing critical care needs and possible complications intra procedure and post procedure, teaming with other members whenever necessary.
