Description
American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and ARDMS certification.
Details

Acute care hospital setting within the Radiology/Cardiology department
Performs general diagnostic ultrasound examinations on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Includes surgical, portable, emergency, trauma, and outpatient ultrasound exams
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Works every other weekend
No on-call requirements
Requirements

ARDMS and BLS certification required
License required if applicable
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care facility required
Additional Information

Prepares patients and operates ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic scans
Reviews and evaluates completed exams for quality and completeness
Assists physicians during examinations and adapts to individual physician routines
Oversees and trains other personnel as needed
Maintains department equipment and participates in QA/QC programs for regulatory compliance
Maintains accurate department records and participates in clerical duties as needed
Assists with patient transport as necessary
Participates in ongoing professional development through educational programs and in-service training
Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
