Schedule: Full Time
Pay Range: $45.00-$66.33/Hourly
Shift: Day/Eve shift
15,000 Sign on bonus
Reporting to the Director of Cardio/Pulmonary/Neurology and working under the immediate direction of the Physician(s), the Cardiac Sonographer performs a wide variety of Diagnostic Cardiographic testing on patients.Completion of a Certified Ultrasound program required.
Cardiac Sonography certificate program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or equivalent required.
Vascular Ultrasound experience preferred.
Current registration as RDCS or RCS required; BLS healthcare provider required.
Must be well versed in medical terminology
Maintains a comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular and thoracic anatomy, cardiovascular pathophysiology, hemodymanics and embryology, in order to recognize normal and abnormal cardiovascular structure, function and abnormalities of blood flow.
Maintains knowledge and understanding of ultrasound physics, instrumentation, tissue characteristics, and measurements of blood flow.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
Computer skills required.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
