General Maintenance Laborer - Night Shift

We're seeking a reliable and safety-focused Laborer / Serviceman to support maintenance and production activities across our plant. This entry-level role is critical to keeping operations running efficiently through hands-on work, cleanup, and maintenance tasks. As a Laborer / Serviceman at Cemex, your daily responsibilities will include: Safety Compliance: Follow all safety rules, wear PPE, and report equipment or safety concerns. Facility Support: Assist with maintenance work, concrete form building, painting, and general housekeeping. Equipment Maintenance: Lubricate and oil equipment; support maintenance teams and respond to callouts. Training & Participation: Attend meetings and training sessions. Complete any tasks assigned by management to support plant operations. A high school diploma or GED is required. Skills: Proficiency in control systems and computer applications; mechanical aptitude and ability to read diagrams; Dynamic Environment: Work in outdoor and indoor environments, with exposure to physical labor and harsh conditions (extreme heat, humidity, extreme cold, noise, dust). constantly), climbing, standing, shoveling, walking, pushing, pulling, and operating tools and mobile equipment to a significant degree in physically intense settings. Must be physically able to perform all essential job functions, including the ability to communicate verbally using a phone and radio, to hear verbal commands and audible alarms in order to safely operate around large mobile equipment and automatic conveyor belt systems. Must be able to pass a physical exam to include back x-ray, vision test, hearing test, functional capability evaluation, respiratory fit test and drug / alcohol screen. Employees are expected to work varying shifts as needed, which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays to meet operational needs. Remote work is not available for this role.
