Electrical EngineerKratos is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and manufacture of UL891 switchboards, metal-clad medium-voltage switchgear, controls packages, and related power distribution equipment.This is a hands-on engineering role focused on electrical design, production support, engineering documentation, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment, understands engineered-to-order electrical equipment, and is committed to maintaining high standards for accuracy, documentation, and schedule performance.As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the design and execution of electrical engineering projects. Design and support engineering work related to UL891 switchboards, metal-clad medium-voltage switchgear, controls packages, and related electrical equipment.Prepare and maintain electrical designs, schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, Bills of Material (BOMs), and production documentation.Ensure engineering deliverables are accurate, complete, and released on time to support production schedules.Create and maintain accurate Bills of Material to support ERP coordination and project execution.Maintain engineering documentation, including drawing revisions, redlines, as-built drawings, and project closeout documentation.Provide technical problem-solving support to engineering, production, purchasing, quality, sales, and project management teams.Coordinate closely with production personnel to resolve manufacturing questions, drawing issues, material concerns, and design conflicts.Support continuous improvement of engineering standards, design practices, workflows, and documentation processes.Balance multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Champion Code Orange, the Kratos creed, by demonstrating ownership, accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to quality.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred; 5+ years of engineering experience in electrical equipment, power distribution, controls, manufacturing, or a related technical environment.Experience working in a manufacturing or engineered-to-order production environment.Working knowledge of electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, BOMs, and engineering documentation practices.Experience with CAD tools such as EPLAN, AutoCAD 2D, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar platforms.Ability to collaborate effectively with production, purchasing, quality, sales, project management, vendors, and customers.Experience with UL891 switchboards.Working knowledge of applicable electrical standards, including UL508A, UL891, NEC/NFPA requirements, and related industry practices.Experience with power distribution equipment, switchgear, switchboards, control panels, protection, metering, relaying, and related componentry.Ladder logic or PLC programming experience.ERP experience, particularly related to BOM creation, material planning, and engineering-to-production workflows.Experience improving engineering processes, documentation standards, and design release procedures.Benefits:The Company offers benefits to all full-time employees, available upon eligibility period for:HEALTH, DENTAL, & VISION - The Company pays a portion of the employees individual health insurance, the employee is responsible to pay the remainder and other charges of eligible dependent additions.LIFE INSURANCE - The Company pays a life insurance premium for full-time employees of 10K.
