Shift: 12-Hour Days (8:00 AM 8:00 PM or 10:00 AM 10:00 PM)
Hours/Week: Full-time, scheduled in four-week cycles
Employment Type: Contract
Required Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CCHT or CDN preferred, Auto insurance
Experience: Minimum 1 year inpatient dialysis experience; first-time travelers must have 2 years of perm staff RN experience in acute care
Travel: Ability to float between multiple facilities (e.g., WKMC, Pierremont, Bossier, South)
Pay & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $50.25

What You'll Do
Provide dialysis care to hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients, with expertise in accessing fistulas and catheters
Monitor patient conditions and react quickly to changes
Collaborate with healthcare team members across multiple facilities
Document care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR
Work independently while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality
Perform critical thinking and operate dialysis equipment (Braun machines, Alaris pumps, Pyxis)
Support unit charge nurses and assist with patient care assignments
Travel between facilities as scheduled, including float shifts
What You Need
Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; CCHT or CDN preferred
Minimum 1 year inpatient dialysis experience; 2 years for first-time travelers
Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
Critical thinking skills; ability to work independently
Experience with Braun dialysis machines and access grafts/fistulas
Flexibility to float across multiple facilities and adapt to changing schedules
