Are you a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist looking for a rewarding career in healthcare? Our team is seeking a dedicated RT to provide high-quality respiratory care to our patients. You will be an essential member of our multidisciplinary team, helping patients breathe easier and improve their overall quality of life. Administer respiratory care treatments, including oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and pulmonary function testing.
Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status, making necessary adjustments to care plans as required.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans for patients with respiratory conditions.
Educate patients and their families on respiratory therapy techniques, disease management, and equipment usage.
Perform diagnostic tests, including arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and pulmonary function tests.
Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure proper functioning and infection control standards.
Provide emergency care and support during critical respiratory events, including code blue situations.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in Illinois.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
Experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of respiratory care equipment, therapies, and procedures.
Strong assessment skills and the ability to react quickly and appropriately in emergency situations.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.
