Provides supervision of a sleep trainee. SomniTech's vision is to continue to be the leader in state of the art sleep services, providing growth for our hospital partners. This position is being offered for full time, part time, and per diem (PRN) statuses.Assures patient/personal safety by maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.Upon patients' arrival, verify identification, review medical orders, collect documents and obtain consent for the study.Comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.Explain the procedure and orient the patient for either in Center or out of Center sleep testing.Follows material cleaning protocol; including, cleaning your own masks immediately following study/procedure.Verifies that equipment functions properly, requisitions for equipment maintenance, repair or replacement; and removes defective equipment. Assists with maintenance of supplies and equipment.Perform visual checks at the start of each scheduled shift to assure you have all required equipment and materials needed to start your shift. Following quality assurance visual assessment, sign off on your Visual Check Form.Documents concisely, precisely and accurately on all records or documents as indicated by policy.Participates in quality assessment activities as directed for the continuous improvement of patient care.to ensure collection of appropriate data.Follow "lights out" procedures to establish and document baseline values (such as body position, oxyhemoglobin saturation, respiratory and heart rates, etc.).Follow "lights on" procedures to verify integrity of collected data and complete the data collection process (e.g. repeat the physiological and instrument calibrations and instruct the patient on completing questionnaires, checking for completeness, etc.).Responsible for scanning, uploading and printing your own paperwork in a timely and organized manner.Compliance with continuing education programs, including timely completion of mandatory training in Company training program(s) (e.g. Sharepoint) as scheduled.Abides by and supports established Center policies and procedures.Extensive travel and driving required.Regular, physical attendance on a predictable basis is essential to the performance of this job.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to analyze and interpret data.Strong written communication and customer service skills.Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.Ability to maintain a strong relationship with internal and external customers.Basic computer skills (eg, Microsoft® Word).Excellent judgement and creative problem-solving skills, self-reliant, and results-oriented.Qualifications/RequirementsRegistered Sleep Technologist (RST)Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT)Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT)Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)Registered Respiratory Therapist-Sleep Disorder Specialist (RRT-SDS)High school diploma or equivalent.
