Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac TelemetryWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in Cardiac Telemetry to provide high-quality care in a challenging healthcare environment. This position requires strong clinical judgment, compassionate patient care, and the ability to manage complex medical conditions in adults and geriatric populations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage continuous IV medications including cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, and Nitroglycerin.Administer diuretics like Bumex and Lasix, as well as anticoagulants including Aggrastat, Argatroban, and Heparin.Oversee insulin drips and manage the administration of medications per established protocols.Provide care for patients with cardiac conditions including arrhythmias, chest pain, and congestive heart failure.Handle renal and pulmonary cases, including COPD and pulmonary edema, along with post-operative care for surgical patients.Assess and manage stable cardiac arrhythmias such as A-Fib and SVT, as well as occasional orthopedic and CVA patients as overflow.Utilize Epic for documentation and Pyxis for medication management, employing SBAR for effective communication.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience, particularly in cardiac care.Certifications required: BLS and ACLS.Demonstrated proficiency in managing a diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics.Basic knowledge of arrhythmias and ability to perform cardioversion when necessary.Work EnvironmentThis position involves working in an overflow Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 across 32 beds. Nurses may be required to float within the facility as needed, and weekend shifts are typically every other weekend. Holiday shifts are expected as outlined in the holiday policy.ExpectationsCompliance with all regulatory and organizational requirements necessary to ensure timely onboarding and employment.Active participation in patient care while adhering to standards of safety and best practices in nursing.Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to accommodate unit needs, including the rare requirement for on-call services.This role presents an opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing exceptional care to patients with cardiac conditions.
