Commercial Carpenter - Immediate Hire

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Commercial Finish Carpenters for projects located in or around Baytown, TX. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

Installing architectural mill-work, cabinets, counters, wall panels, shelving, slat-wall, pegboard, display fixtures, portals, fillers, and finished end panels

Reading layouts and identifying high/low spots in walls and floors before installation

Leveling, plumbing, shimming, scribing, and fitting mill-work to uneven surfaces

Making accurate miter, bevel, rip, cross, coping, and notch cuts, as well as field modifications

Aligning reveals, seams, joints, doors, drawers, and fixture sections for a clean finished appearance

Operating lasers, levels, table saws, track saws, miter saws, routers, drills, and other standard finish carpentry tools

Other tasks as assigned

Experience:

Must have a background in retail fixture, architectural mill-work, cabinet or finish carpentry installation (preferably new retail store build-out

Experience leveling, plumbing, shimming, scribing, and fitting mill-work to uneven surfaces

Strong finish carpentry and precise joinery skills

Ability to make accurate, precise cuts without damaging finished materials

Knowledge of fasteners and anchors in wood, metal studs, masonry, and concrete
