The Estimator is responsible for determining the total cost of heavy civil construction projects by creating comprehensive and quality estimates. From breaking ground to the finished project, our team has been laying the groundwork for excellence on heavy civil construction and demolition projects for over 65 years. Soliciting quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, estimate to be 95% complete prior to formal review with Chief Estimator
Preparing rough schedule of project for determining time frame
Entering detailed data into our HCSS HeavyBid software
Associates or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Construction Management is preferred

• Must develop positive working relationships with owners and project engineers as well as local government office
• Ability to perform complete and accurate project take-offs and estimates
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally with employees, external vendors, owners, and general contractors
• Microsoft Office Software; P6 Scheduling Software; Accounting Software
